Will any of the bolt-on exhausts give my car a throatier sound? With civics they just seem to be farting out sound.
Yes, but only if you stretch a bull frog's ass over the opening. :D
Come on. A tip, bolt on or otherwise does NOT give a 'deep, throaty' sound. If it is big enough it MAY, at some listening angles, give a slightly amplified sound, like a megaphone, but that's it. If you want a truly deep sound, get a muffler at least. And get good tips for the looks. And NEVER use a bolt on tip. Looks like crap.
Edit:
Ohhhhhh geez. Just re-read this and you said exhaust. I read tip from the thread topic. Me bad. I gotta get these bi-focals checked.
Anyway, bolt-on anything isn't as good as welded.

i read it the same way. either way, a bolt on exahust (if they exist for our cars) are not gonna perform as a welded exhaust does. its really cheap for a welded on exhaust, i paid $150 for the flowmaster 80 series. tips were more.

hell, just go to AutoZone, buy a $99 APC universal muffer and have some one weld it on. I had a shop weld mine on for their strigh up labor of $60. not bad from a name brand National company. and the power gains are noticeable and the sound is grrreat. had several ppl say it sounds great fo a 4banger
