I just want to know if there is a way to get the Service Vehicle Soon light off that lights in the dash. After installing the HIDs, the day lamps are no more. Causing the SVS light to light up in the dash. Has anyone ever had this problem before? and how did you get the light to turn off? During the night the SVS light does not come on. Its only during the day.

Did you disable your DRLs?

I disabled the DRL's on my 01, look in the How-To's. I did this before the installing the HIDs so during the day, they dont try and come on and throw an SVS light. At night, the DRLs arent on so there is no SVS light either way. I cant remember if the 02 are the same as 01 for DRL disable but for my 01 it was just a matter of working in the passenger side fuse panel, cutting a couple wires, wiring some power and ground wires and inserting a relay into all of it. Anyway search in the HOW TOs or in the appearnace mods how tos.

Unlike the newer GM vehicles, the Grand Am uses the High beam circuit for the DRL's. For those who do not convert to the H1 style bulbs with the high and low housings, you effectively lose the high beam. When the Grand Am tries to use the high beam circuit for the DRL's, it notices that there is no power flowing. It throws the SVS light thinking that you just blew a bulb.
Theres 2 ways to disable the DRL's on the GA depending on which year you have. Some can be disabled by pulling a fuse, others require cutting and splicing some wires on the BCM.

Its the same like when a "normal" bulb fuses, the car alerts you with the Service Vehicle ...., Now, you got the Sigle Hid, or the double hid?
The single its for the higs and lows in diferent bulbs.
