Haven't been on lately due to holiday hours at work(Best Buy) and just spending time with new girlfriend.
As most may know I have the AED front end that I have waited prolly 3+ years for and just has the Andy's kit for the past 2 1/2 years. Well after having the AED bumper fixed and painted, started noticing stress cracks coming through the paint after less than 2 months being on the car. I think the bumper was damaged more than I thought, did prolly a good 2 months worh of weekend hours working on it and fiberglassing and still didn't get everything.
My thoughts are now to just sell every body kit piece I have, throw the Sprint lowering speings back on the front(took them off due to clearence with the AED bumper) and try and use the $$$ from the body kit to find GT parts to put on instead of the SE bumpers I have.
I don't think Im going to keep this car in the future, after graduating and finding a full time position( making 3x the amount I am making at Best Buy) I will be able to afford a new car. Just wanted to see what others thought

Fiberglass FTL, OEM bumpers FTW. Do it.
Not only will the GT bumpers look decent, but won't make it so difficult to sell the car if that's the route you take.

keep it the way it is. it looks sexy(but if you ever decide to hit me up) and the car just flows very nice as it is. don't let a few stress cracks discourage you after all this hard work. your car is probably like mine. invested way too much time and money to give up. try to finish what you start.

My whole problem is that Ive dumped a bunch of money and the car isn't any faster, lol. When I got the car I had just got into the whole body kit thing(not because of Fast and Furious) and wanted the AED kit but couldn't afford it. Now with me a few years wiser Im starting to see putting a bunch of $$ into looks is almost a waste of money for a car that sees the brutal everyday driving.
Next car is going to be something already quick(probably a boosted vehicle) that has an aftermarket following. Unless I can find a 99+ GA GT,they are a couple seconds quicker than mine so it would be an upgrade by itself.

My 2 cents. If you end up getting the 99+ I think you are basically looking at the same exact problems you are having now. Maybe not as bad cause theres a little bit of an aftermarket for them but its still not a great amount of things.

Ryan, I don't see you pourin on the hate towards me, so thanks for that, but I am curious to know exactly how far down you went to fix the spider cracking? I had only assumed they were in the primer when I sold it to you as those same spider cracks were on my rocker panel and I got them all out no issue... did you take the primer & gel coat off all the way down to the glass itself? I know its a piss ton of work, but i'm just curious to know how far you've gone to fix the problem / how much farther you may need to go
