I am thinking about buying a shorty aluminum antenna for my '01 Grand Am GT. Do the antenna's flex at all or are they totally stiff?? My car is silver, not sure if i should get the Black or Silver. If I got the silver I would probably paint the antenna mounting base to match.

Thanks guys.

They are very very very strong. They will not bend at all and look great.

FYI, I would get some locktite and put it on when you put the attenna on. Someone tried to steal mine and I caught them in the act but because there was locktite they couldnt get it off.

What about the best color? black, or silver and paint the mounting base silver to match?

I had my match my car. It looked really good. The use the GM paint codes to paint them so it was a pretty close match.

The inserts are cool if you get a good color scheme going on.

Id check out MP Racing for their CAI. I had one and was very very very very happy with it. Same price range so just throwing out another option for you.
