Hello,

My name is Marc, My wife and I just got a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM and was looking for a club to join. I also had a few questions about some things that are going on with her car. But first a lil about us I'm 24yrs old my wife is 19 and we live in the Wells Branch/MoPac area... Now for the problems... There is a ticking noise that seams to be coming from behind the radio and none of the windows work except the passenger rear. Can any one help us out?

Marc

Just descovered a NEW problem...The dash lights(gages, a/c controls) wont turn off at all. whats doing that?

The clicking noise sounds like a loud relay. I hear mine when I hit the brakes, turn signal, high beams, etc.

If you don't know what a relay is, its just a switch that works off magnetism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relay

When the relay is engaged or disengaged, it will make a click noise. Its perfectly normal.

Welcome to the club.

EDIT: Oh, and as for the windows, yeah.. Check the fuses. If it looks to be fine (It still may not be though), turn the key to the ON position, but don't turn the engine on. Turn off all the fans, and turn the stereo off. When you push the window up or down, you SHOULD hear the relay kick in. If you don't hear it then you're looking at something electrical or its the fuse.
