gap on the hood sticks out like a sore thumb. get that fixed and it would look 100% awsome

Love my FBodies, but that grill looks aweful on it.
What one does he have now and why doesn't he have the other one anymore?

I know they are practically the same car, but i've always preferred the looks of the TA over the 'Maro.

no he had both the first one ran a 11.9 all motor he never used the bottle it was a just in case kinda thing the second he bought because he was bored and he is putting the heads and cam in right now it has a 603 lift on the cam so it should sound crazy he still has the other one too one of them will be mine in the future i just dont know which one the hood is after makert its a fiberglass hood he doesnt want to mess with it and crack it

Looks good.

The hood adjustment is easy. There are two bumpers the raise and lower to get the hood flush with the fender height. The latch in the center raises and lowers too to get the center at the same height as the bumper.

I use a stock steel hood in the winter and a glass hood in the summer so I'm adjusting with every switch. The glass hood has a lot of flex, it won't (or shouldn't) crack anything.

fbodies are always cool, i like the z06 wheels over the chrome ones. whatever he does with them, dont let him put the Q crap in there, i would run mobil or RP over that. I have to agree with TA, that grill doesnt look that great.

^ I agree but I use nothing but #1 in Synthetics, AMSoil.

you know...my first oil change in the 'maro was with mobile 1, and it was great. i just put in RP and its great, but people with 'maros are saying that it leaves residue in the oil pan, er something not good..i forget exactly what they were saying.

I think ill go back to mobile 1 on the next change.

wow, two camaros, thats pretty cool. i have wanted to get a second one and make it a bracket racer, but i need money and a truck to tow it with, so that probably wont happen.

im not bashing personal tastes, but my dad has tests comparing royal purple to other 100% synthetic oils... AMSoil and Redline didnt top the charts very well....i can see if i can scan and post them for you.

My friend who races motorcycles randomly sends samples of his used oil out to be tested, so far AMSoil has held up the best under the abuse he gives his bike on the track.

Since he and fellow track mates used it so often he bought a dealers license to get it cheaper for himself. I have since started buying it from him, along with others. Royal Purple has been around for decades, however it's changed hands a few times, as well as changed their actual product. Thing like that don't just sit right with me. Knowning that AMSoil has been the first leading supplier and manufacture of synthetic fluids is comferting, especially since them along with Mogul have been the only two for decades to be ester based. Funny that Mobil had full synthetic technology long before they released it to the public. They were afraid that if customer knew about longer change intervals that it would reduce profit. Even now they mention a longer change interval, but for a full synthetic it's still short than what should be expected. Unlike larger companies like Mobil, smaller companies like AMSoil, and Royall Purple for that matter are a little less worried about padding the pockets of their overly excessive number of CEOs.

Sorry just a little rant about companies like Mobil. We used to use Royal Purple in our machines at a car wash I used to work at, but only because we could get cases of it dirt cheap. This was about 15 years ago so I can't really comment on specifics of it as I wasn't that into the details of motor oil and other fluids as I am now.
