Imagine a car with a 42 volt electrical system. That would be like the coolest thing ever. Well, It's coming. Starting in 2004 the first 42 volt cars will be introduced. It'll be like a revolution in car audio.

actually, bass101, none of the current (no pun intended) aftermarket stuff will run off 42 volts. itll be interesting to see what they come up with.

Probably have to use a step-down transformer. That's still cool cuz you can max out and run everything at like 16 volts.

Nope, transformers only work on AC, not DC.

you can most likely buy a voltage divider...or you can grab a calculator and make one yourself for a fraction of the cost. with 42 volts, you can have way more versatility
