Driving home yesterday after dark, and the auto lights kicked on like normal. Within 30 seconds, the lights behind the radio, gauges, climate control and gear indicator all shut off, the headlights remained on and the SVS light came on.

I'm going to have the codes read tomorrow and hopefully it'll just be a relay that's blown or the twilight sensor.

I'll post more when I know more, but has anyone run into this problem before? Thanks.

Went to autozone but I guess when the SVS light comes on that doesn't indicate any codes stored on the computer, just the Check Engine light. I really dislike most of the people that work there--the guy that tried to read the code told me that "back in the old days, car makers used to have these lights come on at certain mileages that you had to have the dealer reset it, so that's probably what's going on." ...

Anyway, when I was driving to work today I was thinking about it and I finally figured out what the problem was--parking lights. When the parking lights come on the lights night-time lights come on inside the car as well as the tail lights. When I got home, popped the hood and pulled the fuse for the parking lights and it was blown. Replaced it and everything good now.

Now the big question is - why did the parking light fuse blow?
