I have a quick question about the wiring going to the fuel pump on my 1995 Gran Dam. I got my new Airtex fuel pump in the mail last night, along with the recommended new wiring harness. I opened everything up to make sure it was the right part numbers (they were) and I noticed that the plug for the fuel pump has 3 wires in it. the new wiring harness has 5 wires in it. I am assuming this is probably due to this wiring harness being used on multiple vehicles so these are just extra wires, but i want to be sure before I have it installed. So basically I am asking how many wires should the plug on the fuel pump have? Thanks guys

nobody has an old fuel pump hanging around?I have one from my '96 V6, *might* be the same.

The '96+ GA's have a 'combo unit', with the fuel level sender in-unit with the FP.
I don't know when this 'combo' design commenced, vs. prior years separate FP and separate FL snder.
My recollection is 'several wires' from the pump, but I'll check at home tonight.

Will post tomorrow,
