too much motor oil

i know its possible to have too much engine oil, but what would happen??? good/bad???

Well if you have too much oil the pistons can "whip" the oil and cause it to foam up. Look at it as whipping meringue for a chocolate pie. :D I doubt foamy oil would lube nearly as well.

I've also read that too much oil and put pressure on the fromt/back seals and can make them leak.

Too much is bad, just like not enough is bad. :cool:

um..... well it was my first time changing my own oil
i knocked over the bottle and spilled some, but i guessing i have maybe 4 liters in the car, but my dip stick shows i have more than the full level

Crawl back under and drain some out. Too much is bad, as stated above, seals blow and other bad things. Oh the seals that blow require the motor to be removed or at least the trany to be removed to fix them.
