creaking on new brake pads

i just got new pads and rotors, drove with them for maybe 500kms, and i notice i get a creaking noise from the brakes when i put just enough pressure to stop the car from moving forward from a complete stop (automatic), but if i press harder on the brakes the creaking would stopped???

is that suppose to happen, because with my old pads and rotors i don't get that

Mine are doing the same thing and I have just brand new carbon metallic pads. I think its just normal wear in

Did you do the brakes yourself or have them done? Was there any anti squeal compound used on the pads when they were installed?

They might also not be seated properly in the brakets causing them to vibrate on light pressure. Get it looked at ASAP before you risk warping your rotors.
