i'm looking to do something to the motor since i need a new head gasket. what would i expect to gain out of the 3.4 if i were to get MMS stage 1 heads, upper and lower intakes, 65mm TB, and would it hurt the car if i got the Stage 1 PCM and not the cams. i would get the 180 thermostat also. all i have now is a CAI and cat back. i don't have headers yet, would that be bad for my motor since i'm not upgrading air flow going out?keep in mind i'm not going for insane speed i just want something more than stock. if not having headers doesn't matter i can at least drive it back home instead of towing it again and again.

That’s a half backwards build with marginal gains in horsepower at best. The MMS stage 1 cam was designed to be very streetable and work well on stock heads and run on a stock (or aftermarket tuned) PCM Computer. Gains by just using the cam would be around 25-30 extra. The heads and custom PCM compliment the cam; not the other way around.

Your welcome. When you pull the heads would you mind measuring the length and diameter of the pushrods for me. I'm trying to gather some information I may need later.

I agree.

It won't hurt the motor is you didn't get headers, but you sure as heck will be limiting your gains by leaving the stock manifolds in place.

On most vehicles, it's more benifical to start with exhaust mods before you worry about intake mods.

No, not quite. I need this information on factory length and Diameter for future use.

its going to be a few months before this happens so i'll try to remember to measure them.

i def. want to get headers i just won't have the money for that for a while. only reason i'm gonna do this is because everything this kit comes with has to be takin off the motor anyway besides the cam, but i'll just have to save a little extra money for that too.
