to tint that plastic part that covers the gauges $5 haha... the most expensive and time comsuming part was retrofitting the jam straights to work in place of the stock bulbs...

that looks good, but can you see the gauges during the day since its tinted?

yeah i did a little re wiring with the help of a guy at the dealership so that the gauges are now keyed instead of with the automatic lights... i also had to use jamstraight leds in place of all the standard bulbs..

well i got it all done but i am not happy with the outcome of the jamstraights... too many hot spots (upper tach section upper speedo section) and too many cold spots (fuel and temp gauge mainly fuel because of the location of the light) so i am gonna try and sand the ends flat to disperse a little more light and if that doesn't work either gonna go back to the stock ones or try to find a different allternative... any ideas for lights are welcome.. pics will be up tomorrow..

If you sand them flat won't it just put the light straight on and not spread the light out as much?

cjmeyers

well it is supposed to disperse the light more since the end is not clear to allow light through but problem was solved... here is the out come... lots of work not too sure if it was worth it... let me know what ya think!

and just an overall (don't mind how filthy it is lol)
and the flash was on so it made the tint look alot lighter i'll go retake it when i get some motivation lol... and i know my a-pillar doesn't match i just figured since the whole dash is goin black might as well do that black right when i got it done... those gauges will also be tinted..

Maybe i need a brighter color in my interior, since my windows are so dark.....i was thinking a light silver but not to glossy, or maybe like a gun metal color.

looks good.

I can see the odometer even through the blurry pictures. I'm sure its easy to read in person.

the odometer is lit up whenever the car is running regardless so you can see it very easily as for the gauges if my windows are up during the day its kind of a PITA to see but i generally have my parking lights switched on when i am driving so the gauges light up and you can see them no problem as far as at night goes you cant even really tell there is tint on there...

What do you mean by getting the gauges keyed?

he wants it so when you turn the key on the dash lights come on.

could find the wire for the insterment lights and wire it up to the key switch. I always turn my park lights on even when my car is warming up in the winter.
