:welcome: If your mechanic can't figure out what is wrong with your car, maybe you should find another mechanic that can. If you don't know much about cars he might be looking at you saying "easy money" and do all sorts of other things except fix the real problem.
I'd hate to think that still goes on but I know it does :(

Thank you! My mechanic has soaked me since 2006 with this beast.

my x is kind of helping by giving me advice but he's too busy to actually get into the work so I have to keep stopping and pow wowing... since I'm completely broke I don't worry about the money because I don't have any. hence the do it myself status. I barely have the money for parts... I'm very frustrated because I've spent too much already. of course all the warranty parts are always fine when checked and it's always something new that's "been the problem all along" it gets fixed then doesn't fix the problem. status quo on this car since the tune up that began this nightmare 2 odd years ago. but thanks. now everyone is saying but the repair book. I don't want it. It's just more money for nothing,i'm not spending my last 25 on the book unless it comes wit free parts...
I'm ready to give up and start hitch hiking

Well people are right about getting the manual, it is a good investment but I understand the funding problem.
Tune up started this 2 years ago:???: what plugs did you have put in?

RACHEL

oh the best of course because i didn't realize they were so awful for this car... how dumb why don't they put this info on the package? That's just mean. since then I've had them replaced twice and some of the coils too. I miss carberators! those i understood...
the plugs "supposedly" were fouled the first time but they weren't fuled wen i just changed em out this time. they were a little low on the gap but they had deposits that looked like little match heads but this wasn't really a prob as noted by the lack of improvement on that job. we're going to look at the injectors. well I am anyway...

can someone send a picture? lol cuz I'm not buying the book nope nope

Advice on plugs...
AC Delcos are the best for our cars, go with them. Most ppl here will tell you the same thing
