my 99 ga se just started showing hte "service engine soon" light, i dont have one of those connectors... I want to pull the codes with a paper clip, is tis possible? I was checking out http://www.techweasel.com/articles/troublecode/GM.htm connected #5 and 6 but still didnt flash anything... Anyways if anyone knows how to do this, please let me know...

The paperclip trick is not possible with OBDII... You need a proper scan tool. :(

i know autozone does a free "Service engine soon" check and they tell you what is wrong w/ it.

Geez, well that sucks!! Anyway, I just purchased a 50 dollar scanner and now if you guys could direct me to a list of the error codes, that'd be great!!
