For the people who shaved there antenna. When i shaved my antenna i lost 95% of my radio stations. I was planning on buying the XM radio but then came across this hidden antenna that looked like it would do the trick for Quarter of the price of the XM radio. Long story short i bought it, installed it and was shocked that it brought back every station that i lost. So heres your answer to your problem for those of you that shaved your antenna. You can mount it to the top of the windsheld like i did or under the seat. Mine is not noticable unless told otherwise. Too the pictures!

when i put the car PC in i lost alot of radio stations as well, i put a USB FM radio in it and it works, but no where near the power of the stock FM. do you think theres a way to tie in that antanna with the antanna of my FM reciever? you would pretty much have to transfer whatever that radio's output cable might be, into a 3.5 headphone cord.
Any ideas?
(side note: with 200ish gigs of my favorite music, not having the radio is not to bad, but sometimes i just want to be lazy and let someone else pick the music for me)

hmmm idk. For this antenna i mounted it to the glass, grounded it to the A-Pillar, Hooked up the power wire and then just plugged the antenna in the back of my CD player. I only have 8 gigs of music and thats enough for me!

I've been wondering how well those work. Loosing radio stations was the biggest concern keeping me from seriously concerning shaving my antenna.

Sounds like a plan Tom, because as you know mine sucks as well. Atleast I still get PYX in so that is all that matters. lol
Solder headphone wire onto the tip of what???

i know that this if for FM, but what about CB? could the same antenna help that? i want to either use stock antenna location for a CB antenna (no bullwhips please) or have a hidden one (so cops won't think that me and truckers are giving away their locations)

the metal tip of the antanna wire that you plug into the radio, if you soldered a headphone wire into that, would it work when i pluged the headphone plug into the usb radio input?
background info: i have the radio shark, its attanna is a headphone jack with a 3 feet wire that hooks in through a 3.5 headphone plug, if u plug normal headphones into it it will still work, and hte longer the headphones the better. i want to just plug a real attanna into it by soldering this hidden one, or the stock one.

ugh Tom you suck. I didn't know you got that. In fact when your window was smashed I was like Tom get the alero one and you were like oh its already been replaced. You could have just used the factory antenna. They're in the glass.

It should be able to be hooked up with the stock antenna wire, it's set up to around the same length to the connector on the glass as it is to the GA antenna.

If you get the alero one working I may be interested in your aftermarket for the 94

alero's have a 2 or 3 additional boxes going to it, i had everything out in the yard 2 months ago but didnt have anything to take the glass out. go yard hoppin and steal a wiring harness.

From what Rick said there are a few modules for it, look in a j/y for an Alero to take it from.
