Hey everyone, first time here.... i need help with my 2000 Grand am SE... it has a 2.4 Quad 4 engine... my problem is the rear bumper support is nearing the end of its life span according to the shop and b/c of it it won't pass inspection... so any info you can give me on this part let me... where is it?, is it something i could get as a junk part?, is it a bolt on or do i need to have it welded?

i would suggest going around to other places for inspection to make sure they are not just lying to you, but btw hello, and gl!

Check other shops. Your rear bumper cover provides no function other than anchoring your license plate to the car. The bumper itself is beneath, and I highly doubt they removed your bumper cover to inspect it.
