Is your power wire going along the fender?! I'd recommend finding an existing grommet or making your own opening in the firewall, wire in the fender is a nice frie hazard. I think it's the 03-up 3400s that have the clearance issue stemming from the change in alternator connectors.
Looks good otherwise.

fire, it all depends on the bar used. Is yours completely straight across or does it have a notch cut into it?

yea, i know its not a good spot at all and i have been posting around a lot asking for where an existing hole would be as i hate having it there, but alas i find no answers, and im not going to drill my own hole, as i refuse to drill anything on this car except for plastics. but seriously if anyone knows a place to route my wires, please tell me. thx

What size is it? I fit 4 gauge thru an existing grommet just fine. If you pull the plastic guard under the driver's side dash there is a gray grommet with a bunch of wires going thru it. Just cut an X with a knife and route the wire thru. Unclipping your underhood junction box and sliding it forward cuts the job time in half, no coat hanger needed. I could probably get pics tomorrow if needed.

I got a 4 gauge power wire as well as a 10 gauge accessory power wire through the steering column gromet, i trimmed the grommet a bit to fit through then added some flexible automotive silicone stuff to seal it up, havent had any problems, it doesnt rub on the steering column or on the bare metal, and is hidden under the carpet inside the vehicle. Car looks good, I think it would look good with the "3400 sfi" painted red too.

The gray grommet is the same one that I used, but you don't have to quite destroy the grommet like that. Take a knife and stab an X into the grommet, it seals pretty well. In the spring I may add some leftover silicone from my box, but it's probably not needed.
