Sounds cool but they don't say something very important. What is the top speed and how far can it go on a single charge.

Very cool.

GM's Volt is due to be out soon. The Volt isn't 0 emissions, but it can be. It will go 40 miles on a single charge, but after that it can run on E85 or gasoline.

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. :) It's probably online somewhere....

Edit: I found it at www.zenncars.com

"Range: Up to 35 miles
Speed: 25 mph, limited in accordance with FMVSS 500 regulations "

Good for driving around in the city, though here in Madison I'd get run over on many streets at 25 mph!

Ouch... that makes it pretty useless anywhere except within a city. I don't think I get below 25 MPH on my work commute... not even on the exit ramps.

But city use creates another problem... those living in cities (and doing their limited commuting within them) don't exactly have parking directly next to their residence. Where are they supposed to plug it in?

A car like that would work for me easily. I only commute 2 miles a day and i can take a back road that has a speed limit of 25mph.
