2003 Pontiac Grand Am SC/T
Hey Yesterday I was on the highway with my friend and we were trying to get my GA to go faster than 120 mph. We tried a couple old wives tales like turning the hazards on and quickly hitting the brakes twice, but no to no prevail. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to disarm the governor on my car.

The only way to disable it is with a computer reprogram. Check out http://www.asechips.com ...unless you want to fool the car's computer with an A/C signal generator to take over the VSS reading. It hasn't been done yet, but it's possible with the right tools, equipment and know-how.

How do you do it with the AC signal generator.

... you have to supply the computer with a constant signal that would normally be supplied by the VSS at a speed lower than shut-off, that way, the car could in theory continue to accellerate :)
