How do I get the stock bulbs out? I want to put some silverstars in there. .

Find the connector, twist, and pull. Very very simple.

Are 9006 bulbs for low beams?

Yup. 9006 low beam, 9005 high beam.

I recommend against the Silverstar bulbs though. They tend to have relatively short life and aren't as bright as the GE NightHawk bulbs.

I've used both on several different vehicles and (particularly on my bike) the NightHawk bulbs give noticeably more/better light. The blue tint of the Silverstar bulb (stupidly) absorbs some lumens. The resulting bluish light is worse at color rendition and visibility than it would be without the tint. It "looks cool" though... but if that's all you want some $10 Sylvania "cool blue" bulbs will do the trick. If you want visibility, get the Nighthawk.
