Most people think I'm stupid for doing this, waste of my time, etc...
But does anyone know of any places I can get a Ram Air Hood for a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.3L V6?
Another Question, does anyone know anything elseI can do to get H.P.? I already removed the MAF (mass airflow) screen, got a K&N air filter, I am getting a new set of NGK spark plugs (Iridium)part # TR55IX, thinking about getting a racing chip as well, not sure where to get that though.
Thanks for any help,
Josh:)

Well as far as I know all of the 92-95 GTs were the same..So I know I got some stuff that made mine go faster...
Have you looked into a WAI or a CAI..They are much better than a filter..
You can get an exhaust system that is free flowing.. Maybe a high flow cat.
Headers and heads..I think there was a thread about a certin type of heads that flowed better than stock...Not sure on that one though..
Also I got a perfromance chip on mine and it did make a big difference..
Have you tried Bosh Plats +4 Spark Plugs..I have those and they did make a little difference on performance and gas mileage..
And as far as a Ram Air hood, I know that FX Designs makes one..

Any other questions feel free to ask.
He has a 92, so it has the 3.3 as the V6. I believe it has even fewer add ons available than the 3.1 that's in the 94 & up GAs.
But the ideas for the basics are good. Haven't seen any info on any type of ram air hood available for 92-95 GAs. Might have to do a custom if you really want one.

www.fxdesigns.com has a Ram Air hood.
As for performance mods for a 3.3... I used to have a 3.3.... Good engine, crappy it had a 3 speed trans....
At one point I heard of a TPS Enhancer available for it (I think from Casper Electronics, you'd have to Google that). I know JET makes a chip for the 3.3, but I am not sure of what gain it might have.
I added a stainless steel exhaust (the shop makes there own stainless steel mufflers) and that seems to help add a little pep...
You already have the K&N air filter (I had one in my 3.3 as well).
Those were the only MODs I could confirm finding and that anyone else did. You may be able to see if a shift kit is available. Other then that, I'm tapped out.
I got a 3.1 '94 Grand Am now, and that kicks the snot out of the 3.3 (which the 3.3 was wrecked). And I know the Quad4's and 3.1 engines have more MODs available and more people that have tried them.
Hope that helps and best of luck!
