lets start here: once apon a time, just kidding. i own a 99 gt w/ 70000 miles .purchased the car from mom who was the original owner. loosing coolant slowly at start then got worse and worse. ended up doing the heads at a cost of about 2000 dollars. cylinder 3 misfire now .ses light flashes and definitely feel the misfire but clears up after warm up and now its inspection time and the car wont pass. i replace plugs, wires, coil, module, fuel inj. cleaning, o2 sensor. what I'm thinking is while the head gasket is leaking into the cylinder it possibly ruined the fuel injector being that while it was leaking i started using straight water.anyway I'm replacing the fuel injector and was wondering about tips or comments on this procedure. average mechanic with decent tools. purchased new injector and plenum gaskets , any other parts? im tired of throwing parts and money at this car . i took it to the dealer hoping to get somewhere . they were the ones who gave it a fuel inj cleaning changed the o2 sensor and told me that the injector may be bad(500 dollars later ses light came on the next morning)

wow..2k.i just spent around 700 on replacing head and intake gaskets..with new head bolts and new powersteering hoses and machine work..
as far as the injectors..youd need just the upper gasket..and maybe the orings..unless they arnt old..or dont look too bad..thats on you ....but as soon as you remove the upper youll expose the fuel rail and injectors..good luck
