02 Cav 4dr that was rescued from the local salvage yard I worked at. Picked it up for $800, and bolted on ~$400 worth of AM parts-car was bumped in the front, but not hard enough to blow the bags. The ins co totalled it due to high mileage...197K. It now has 202K, and still going strong. :P

Nothing to brag about, but....

Then, my other ride-which is out of commission due to restoring is a
1973 Buick Riviera GS, with a 455 Stage 1. Or, the Batmobile, as my 3yo likes to call it. <1000K on engine rebuild, and the car has ~76K on it. I've had this thing for the last 10 years, and working on it slowly. I either have money, but can't find parts, or I find parts, but don't have the extra cash, or I don't have the time to do anything with it(or I do get the time, but don't feel like doing anything). Always something. :lol:

Awesome Buick. My father's friend when I was a kid owned two boat tail Riviara's. Not sure what years but one of them had a rather unique set of tail lights.

I've been hung up on the boattails since I was about 14-15.
I spotted mine sitting outside of the local baseball card shop when I was 15. I couldn't buy it then, so I saw it drive around town for almost 2 years. Then she disappeared. Well, I was going to buy a car from a dealer, but long story short, the salesman royally ticked me off, so I walked out in the middle of the 'sale', and on my way home, I stopped at the guys house(that I knew owned the Buick last). Lo and behold, he still owned her and gave her up for a measly $800. About a year later, I dropped ~$1500 into getting the engine rebuilt and picked up a parts car for $50 a few years after that. She's still in dire need of body panels-which are non existent. One of these days she'll be a lot more presentable.
