Hi everyone. I suppose I owe a story.

In 2002 I bought a 1992 Firebird V6 3.1
In that 6 year span I've:
Installed a V8 455 6.1 out of a '67 (first year for the Trans AM) Firebird that had been sitting in this guy's yard, unmoving, since 1988. Rebuilt the engine from the ground up with significant help from a friend and a nice guy named Rob Zanbert from Street Legal Performance. The front shocks, K-frame and cross-members were all reinforced or replaced to accomodate the new engine. Cold air intake was installed underneath the car since there was no room to build it outside of the hood and cutting the hood was unacceptable.
A 38" positraction from a '90 IROC-Z was installed and my project for this year was to convert it to a 6-speed Manual transmission from the 6-speed T4-I that it came with.
Unfortunately, as of January 30th 2008, the oil pump broke down while I was on the highway and the engine siezed, cracking the block in the process.
Needless to say, I bid the car a fond farewell and purchased a used 2005 Grand Am 4-cylinder. I would've prefered a 5speed but they didn't have any that would fit my credit profile (blah-blah-fricking-blah).

So, here I am, keeping it all in the family (Pontiac). My first modification to this car will be transfering the Magnaflow exhaust system from the Firebird to the Grand Am. My First-First Modification!..is the stereo system. I'm waiting on the harness I ordered from an off-the-wall website because I just wasn't paying Best Buy a 120$ for a stupid radio harness (because the multipurpose warning chime is part of the driver's side door speaker). Then I need to get my amp, woofer and kickers installed (woot) which I think I'll let a local custom car audio shop do that. It was easy in the Firebird, but this is a nice, new-looking modern car; not my favorite flavor cigarette.
After all that, I wanna get a working Ram Air hood on the car. Not sure if it's possible on the I-4's as I was looking at the engine and wondering how the hell the airbox would fit in there.

But, a little about me. I go by Fox on the interwebnets. I'm 23 and I've worked for Radioshack for 3 years. Before that I was an Apple Computers second level technical guy before the pushed all their older G3 material over to India. I love my video games and my interwebnets. And I joined this forum because I was part of the very helpful Third-Gen.org for the six years I owned my Firebird. I hope I'll have a wonderful 18 months with this car and then pay off the lease when that comes due (for a whopping 2500. :o)

Well, thank you in advance for welcoming me to the forums and I hope I'll have as much help here as I did from the lovely peoples at Third-Gen.
