Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone in the Texas area was attending the event hosted by the "Dallas Area Pontiac Association"? It is called the Pontiac Southern National, and is held annually here. It begins on June 13- 15. Info about the event can be obtained at www.dapa.org, click on events for June. If anyone is going lets all meet together to represent the Grand Ams, Club Grand Prix will be there as well as other groups, and the members of D.A.P.A. .:D

I'm for sure going to the racing in Ennis on Sunday to watch some friends race. Gonna try to stop by the show on Saturday, I've gotta take my car to my dealership in Sherman Saturday morning to have them fix my little turn signal relay problem.

I can't make the race this year, so I hope to see you at the car show, it looks to be a great show this year once again. I can't help but notice that you own a Firehawk as well, I'm jealous! When I bought my GA I originally went to buy a dark blue Ram Air TA with an automatic. I could finally afford one and the mods, and the insurance, and what do you know I can't get one because production was already over, and one couldnt be found. I love my car though, it is more practical given that I drive alot. In a TA only one passenger can go comfortably. I hope to pay this car off soon and be able to get the new GTO as a second car.:bigok:

I don't get to drive it too often...my husband gets nervous. You should check out LS1.com in the Texas members section, always some used ones for sale locally. When we got the Firehawk, we sold the '98 TA to some 17 year old kid in Plano.

I just wanted the thrill of owning one straight from the factory, so that all of it's history, good and bad would be mine. As a coincidence the car I did buy was made on my birthday! So it was meant to be. Once I'm done modding the car, it will be very respectable, but nothing like a TA, or a Firehawk. Why does your husband get nervous, are you a speed demon?:glasses:

I like to drive a little fast, did the driving school thing a couple months ago to get rid of one ticket, and 1 week later got pulled over again. Now I'm on "probation" and can't get another ticket or both will go on my record. He says I "play" with other cars too much too. It's got some awesome power though, I got on in too much once and got all fish taily. I tease him with my SLP exhaust and I have an electric cut out. I say it sounds just like the Hawk when I open it up doesn't it? Yea, right, not even close. Love that deep rumble.
