If I wasnt a poor university student I would love this car, I cant beleive its not sold yet?! Around my hometown in Northwestern Ontario, 5 year old Grand Am Se 2 doors (like mine) with 30,000 miles on em, go for around 10,000$. I wish I would have came on these forums before I bought my car, could have had a sick modified ride for WAY less then I paid for mine. (The above info is my story :) )

Well when I was planning on getting rid of my GA last week/earlier this week, I had an offer for $5500. I am very surprised you cant get at least that for this. I guess non-enthusiasts dont appreciate things like this. Surprising because carbon fiber seems to go over very well with people i know and a full (almost) carbon fiber body for that price ON a working car seems like a steal.

There's kind of two factors that refrain me from making a move at this. First you're about 3300 miles away, and the way gas is going up, it would probably cost me as much to buy the car as it would to get it here one way or another. And then I really don't have the money for it, but I have to say it is one of the best Grand Ams with this body style that I have seen in a long, long time.

Heh. It's not lowered on springs but the kit does sit low and will take some getting used to. Like I mentioned before it was quoted at $1k to PA.

Figured out why I was having coolant issues- headgasket needs to be replaced (as well as the heater core while you're in there). It was quoted at $1K to get it fixed.

So....

Update as I did on GAGT. $2K takes it.

I drove it from the mechanic's to my spot and it was having all kinds of weird issues driving the streets and when I gunned it. It *CAN* be driven but I wouldn't really recommend it nor would I even attempt to for long distances. Coolant purged again after I stopped so I'm pretty sure the entire system is ****ed because of the headgasket leak depressurizing the whole thing.

Just get it out of the driveway. And no before anyone askes, I'm not dropping below 2K. If I do I'm going to be forced to part it out or sell it locally. I don't need the money and I already have 2 other cars at my disposal. Just wanted to give someone else the opportunity to bring its luster back and appreciate the car.
