Hello,
I own a 1993 Grand Am 3300 SE, runs great thanks to a good maintenace schedule, 125 000 mi on it, biggest problem since I bought it three years ago: a faulty ignition switch, alreadey solved. Tranny fluid and filter just changed, which improved shifting and the engine seems to need less gas to keep moving.
This car gets around 34 mpg at 65 mph cruising mexican highways, which amazes me, considering the size and age of this engine. In city traffic it`s not that good, mainly because 10 mph is the average speed in my town.
I need some help with my car. Inside the hood there is a black plastic box, 4" x 8", apparently empty, with no wires or plugs, just bolted to the chasiss. So, I need please some one to tell me what this box is good for, if any... I include a couple of photos, hope they are useful.
Thank for your help, guys, and let me tell you its always a pleasure visiting this testoterone-packed lair.
