well thre both the same motors but id put my money on the regeal. i like how they look.

I was asking for the year since of course a Regal GS from 1998 would smoke a GTP Grand Prix from 1995 (1995 GTP didn't have a Supercharger). But if they're both 1998's (3800 Series II Supercharged), then it would be a match that would be determined on the drivers.

drivers? what's there to do with an automatic? They're basically the same car with different styling and suspension setups (pontiac= sportier)

I'd go with the Buick for sleeper appeal. The dumbass in the next lane wouldn't know why that 'grandma car' smoked his Civic Si.:lol:

id put my money on the gtp. even though its the same motors, and they weigh about the same, the trannies are tuned differently. the gtp is tuned to be more aggressive, the regal is more luxury.

ive driven some GP gts before (n/a 3800) and i had an olds 88 with the same motor. it was dog slow compared to the gp because of how the tranny was tuned. it would wait 3 aligators before it down shifted. I almost got hit countless times because it wouldnt accelerate in lane changes.
