I put one of those 3pc Ntake cold air intakes on my gfs car but I had trouble getting the little sensor out of the old rubber tubing and broke it. what is it called and does it have a part number? its for an 01GT1

I believe that is your IAC, idle air control valve, no idea part number, napa etc should be able to find the right part for your 3.4l
prob want an oem replacement, acdelco?

I think it's the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. Call around for availibity. Check www.rockauto.com for a part number and price.

i looked that part up and thats not what it looked like is there more then one sensor that plugs into the tubeing? im talking from the TB dwn. not counting the MAF

I don't think that's a sensor? goes in right on the Top, with black tubing that goes towards the back of the engine?

ya it sticks into the rubber intake tubeing. looks like it has a lil plastic cage around the part that goes in the tube

OK, I just did my LIM/UIM and head gaskets, guys I did them with called it a stink pipe. :lol: I had a look around on rockauto.com (didn't find the actual piece) and I believe the item your talking about actually just plugs in to a hole in the rear manifold cover. It's there to allow heated air from around the manifold to be taken in to the intake to try and relieve the condensation build up in the engine until it reaches full operating temps.
