New Muffler

hey guys I'm thinking of buying a new muffler for my 99 SE. The one that is on there now sux. With a new Universal muffler will i get better performance?(as in torque/hp) I have a WAI and a ECU mod installed already and have seen a great improvement.

If there is an improvement how much will it be? Also there are 2 styles muffler out there the single/dual tip which is better or is there no difference?

I believe for the most part tips are only for appearance. I don't think they serve much performance purpose.

Just so the single tip isn't a smaller diameter than your exhaust pipe there isn't any difference.

Yes, an after market muffler will get you better performance and fuel milage. Unless you start stepping on it so you can hear the exhaust more. How much performance you get is relative to other engine mods etc. It varies.
