Water outlet pipe

Hey guys,
I am working on a friends 2000 Grand Am 4-cyl. She had alot of coolant leaking and took it to a mechanic. The mechanic said she needed to replace the water outlet and the water outlet pipe. I will be doing the work myself and needed to know if the water outlet pipe goes by a different name. I have tried doing web searches to find this part but came up empty.

Sometimes that water outlet is referred to as a thermostat housing, although the t-stat hasn't been in that spot since the 93 model year.
