well here is what i did today while it was 80 outside. so i put in an alpine mrd1005, stinger 1 farad, starter, wiper motor, fresh fluids, and a good clean and re painted the interior pieces. she still has the winter beats on because we are suppose to get ice tonight and this week. but here's how she came out.

the extra hole right next to the H/U is a vent for the unit. i have a cooling fan in there to keep it cool on those hot days. and it's not finished yet. just enough to keep it in place until it gets warm and i can finish it properly

I like the work you are doing but don't know about that placement for the HU. But wow, some of those seats in 96 - 98 cars need to be burn. Are you going to change those seats?

nice work quality, but i'm not sure about the head unit placement. i personally need my arm rest, but if it suits you, keep it, its very unique.

are you planning on flush fitting the HU? also I was thinking you could make it so it sits below the armrest cover so no one would even realize its there

Tight ,thats the way to do it. I had that idea for my 91 but I never got around to actually putting the HU in the arm rest.
