i dont remember the last time i posted pics, but since we've gotten the car we put in a whole new interior, fog lights, brakes, pin stripe, and cleaned the piss out of it, we also have a spoiler to paint and put on, and we want to paint the chrome stripe around the car black to look like a GT.

Sweet! That car is lucky to have you two as its owners. :) Keep on taking care of it and it should take care of you.

...my friend has a '94 that he beats on pretty badly and it still gets him from point a to point b (and those points are pretty far apart) every day.

Thanks, we've been workin on her pretty hard. when we got it (for free), the fire wall was rusted out, so we had to fix that, also, the starter went out in no time, and a lot of bad hoses. we took care of all of that and now its hesitating a lot when we get on the gas a little, so it looks like it'll need a new coil. We've also taken it out cruizing a few time and it's got quiet a bit of power to back it up. i have to admit that it doesnt run or look bad for having 152,000 miles on it.

Nice! I like the wheels; it's refreshing to see aftermarket wheels without rubber bands.

You'll find the engine to have plenty of power, it's just not as torque happy as the V6s.

holy clean engine bay! my 99 alero looked like a dump compared to that, granted i was about 40k miles ahead of you. damn good work though.

Good show, and good shots!

Is it just me, or do those rear tires look very small??

Nice work keeping it clean and in good condition.

My only comment... I'd probably shorten those 2 hoses you replaced on the oil/air separator. The drivers side one looks like it is close enough to potentially get caught in the radiator fan.

thanks man, my girl friend replaced them herself. i looked at them and they have plenty of room, but i'm gonna cut them down to make it look a little better.

hows that for an original engine and transmission in a 1989 Ford Tempo with 249,000 miles...

It isn't necessarily about the quantity of mods, etc. We know you and your G/f put some effort into repairing/restoring this car, and it shows. (and the pics are good too... something I know Kelly looks for ;) ) Congrats... be sure to show your G/F.

for anyone who is curious, here are some pics of the work we had to do to get the car on the road...

redo the entire interior... (and yes, the gloves and masks were necessary)

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/89TempoGLS/1995%20Pontiac%20Grand%20Am%20SE/GandAm013.jpg
new fog lights (one was missing)
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/89TempoGLS/1995%20Pontiac%20Grand%20Am%20SE/GandAm020.jpg
and finallly, new hoses, blower motor, state inspection...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/89TempoGLS/1995%20Pontiac%20Grand%20Am%20SE/GandAm026.jpg
and here is wat the finished project used to look like...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/89TempoGLS/1995%20Pontiac%20Grand%20Am%20SE/IMG_0133.jpg

The seats were pulled from a GAGT, the carpet we got new off line, the speakers were from wal mart (Sony Explode), new brakes, new hoses, fog lights all from advance auto parts, and since the car has been on the road, it's needed an engine mount, starter, and will soon need a coil... she got the car for free, and has since put about 1600 dollars into it. she saved a lot on labor cuz me and 2 of my buddies helped out, and she did A LOT of the interior work herself cuz, well "I can do it!"

and the pics earlier in the post are wat it looks like as of today

Very nice. I take it the car had a massive amount of water leaks? Or was it in a flood?

You guys did great with that car. I'd be very proud. :)
