Car has 80k miles, frontend feels like a boat. So been doing a little bit of research before I start tearing stuff down.

I've been reading around and searching, I see most people have gone with Intrax/KYB GR-2's.
Only thing I'm concerned about is, I don't want too much of a drop. Seeing as this is my daily driver and I live in Chicago. From what I understand so far, the Eibach's have the least amount of drop after it settles in? Are Eibach's and KYB-GR2 a good combo, or do they tend to cause problems.

One more question :)
Which strut mounts are better? OEM or can I get the KYB ones.

BTW, car is a 2002 Grand AM SE1, V6 4door.

Thanks! =]

From what I hear, they are a good pair. They are going to be really stiff though for a while until they get broke in.

i have the eibach and kyb setup. yeah it's a rough ride for a little but not to worry. it's a pretty good ride once the springs set. i with mine was lower but for the price i couldn't beat it. it's only 1.5 inches all around but ohwell. i would reccommend

I have Intrax with kyb gr2's and I love them. The ride is rough sometimes. I think you should go intrax, if you go eibach you're gonna be wishing you had a bit more drop. But I can't go into a lot of car washes because of the drop, thats about the only real problem ive had with my drop.

Hmm, I was about ready to order so I can get them done this coming weekend.

BUT..

Looks like I won't have a garage to do them in. Living in a Condo FTL. My buddie who was going to lend me his garage backed down. That garage was my only hope.

So I'm wondering.. How much would a shop charge for labor to install set of springs and struts? Anyone have a clue.

a shop would probably charge 1-2 hours labor if you have all the parts and you will need an alignment if not you will eat tires.
