Brand New To Pontiac

Hello All, im brand new to GM, Pontiac and of course the Grand Am, I just got a 1999 Grand Am from my buddy, its got a 2.4L I4 and she needs some work, my buddy clipped a curb and the air bags blew out, thats problem 1, 2 is he was back into and the hood latch is messed up, 3 the traction control light is on even when i hit the button a few times, shes got 107K on her and she still drives and rides strong, anything that you all can add to help me tame this beast please let me know. im use to Fords, had a 95 Tbird custom for a while then went to a mazda6 and i just sold her for a more fuel friendly 4 cyl.

Not to be anal, but this is in the wrong section. Next time you make a thread please put it in the appropriate forum. :)

The airbag issue can be pretty pricey...

For the hood latch I'd recommend just going to a junkyard. IIRC there are 2 or 3 13mm bolts that keep it on there.

The first place I would look for the ETS issue would be the wheel sensors.


Enjoy the new ride; the engine has a lot of potential if you are performance-minded.

Thanks, i know its not the right area but i figured as a general Hi it would be good :) thanks for the help, i priced out airbags on ebay about 150 for the set, as for performance, i had 300 rwhp on my bird so im def in the mind set of power n speed!
