Well, the concert crowd traffic was flowing pretty good and ALL of a sudden this HUGE truck swerves over into the right lane and I couldnt see past the truck so I just SMASH into the back of the car ahead of me.
I'm alright, just some bad back pain.
As far as I can mechanically its fine.

Nasty but fixable. Around $1500 - $2000 damage if the fender is not bent.
If they total it and you like the car, keep it and fix it yourself.

Unless you were thinking about getting rid of the car in the first place, why bother because of other peoples mishaps. Whether ya got your pride and joy, or you have a POS Ford Fiesta, if you're going to wreck, you're going to wreck.

well there is always the choice of parting it out cuz i heard you can get a good amount (sometimes more than the car is worth) parting out a totaled car

Jim, maybe it's just me but $1500 - $2000 seems a bit low. Looking at that pic Id say he needs...
Nose
Hood
Fender
Headlight
fog light
header panel
A/C Core (if equipped)
Rad support
Rad (although he said he drove it home, I'd be surprised if there wasn't any damage to it)
Bumper
Arrow for the nose
Plate filler (license plate cover)
I'd have to see more pics of the car from different angles as well as an under hood shot but this is what I see for damage.
Did the car seem like it was out of alignment when you drove it? (did it pull to one side when you were driving straight?) If it did then they insurance co might total it due to frame damage.
This sucks to see so many GA's getting smacked up this year :(

Took it to the adjuster today and she said it was not totaled but very close to it. She said if anything else was found that was broken or cracked when the body shop looks at it, it will probably be totaled. I'm afraid to know if there any is mechanical problems.

Put the repair money in your pocket. Get your tools and remove everything of any value. Sell everything you removed, put that money in your pocket. Sell the rest of the car to the junkyard.
Find another car and empty your pocket.

There's no Pontiac Arrowhead inbetween the grills on your front bumper. If it was a genuine GM part it would of came with the Red/White Pontiac Arrowhead ;)

do you know how much the repair cost was?
really surprised there wasnt more damage, mechanically, those first pics looked like it totally would have smashed the rad and dumped coolant all over the road
glad you were ok tho, too bad about the front bumper, should go back to the shop and DEMAND they replace it with a genuine lmao or just get an arrowhead and see if anyone can tell the difference lol
peace
