I know it's not a grand am. but i picked this up after the 3300 in my grand am threw a rod. and i need some help with it. being a 3100, i figured you guys could help me. this thing is idling at 3k RPMs, WHEN it decides to start. there is also a half melted black box hanging by a wire with a red clip behind the coil packs. what looks to be a vacume line coming from under the coolant bottle. the other end as been cut and that part is missing. any ideas here. i can provide pictures on request. also the PCV valve hose is not connected to anything at at the other end
