Shoulda took the resonator out, did you upgrade the piping too?

No, got the old muffler cut off and that one put on. I'm not looking for performance really, just wanted a nice sound. I ran the car once on the track with just the CAI, and I'm happy with that. I plan on selling the car in a year or so.

Here's mine with flowmaster 80 series, hi flow cat, no resonator with 2.5 inch piping.

How much louder would you say the exhaust is w/o a resonator, it something I've been thinking about doing, fyi this is concerning a full Borla Cat-Back system.

I heard borla with a resonator and it wasnt loud enough for me. Which is why I went with flowmaster. It's probably not a huge difference. I think the biggest difference is the size of the piping. But I think borla has 2.25 inch piping, I cant remember so dont hold me to it. You can go custom for a lot cheaper than borla.

Your probably right, but I don't trust any of the local shops around here enough to do it, especially cause I know some of the people who work at them.

Sounds okay but i would've upgraded the piping.

On the other hand the RX8 sounds awesome!
