Yeah, next warm day, go over the car with a claybar. The mothers kit works really well. If it doesn't get picked up with the claybar, report back.

It includes a clay bar, a sample sized bottle of wax, and a spray bottle of something (I don't recall which product it is) that you use as a lubricant for the claybar. Whatever the stuff is that is in the spray bottle smells awesome.

is your car pre-owned?
mine was and it had little blue spots all over the place because the previous owner must have painted something and got overspray all over the place
so i had mine repainted

Jake, you had the car repainted only because of overspray from something else? I had black overspray on my fender and bumper from people spray painting too close in shop. I used the Mother's California Gold claybar kit and it came right out.

If you are directing that towards me, yes it is pre-owned. The chips on my old bumper were from rocks or a crappy paint job to begin with.
Since that picture was taken the car met a pickup truck's rear bumper at 60mph. The new bumper is nice and smooth primer right now... still waiting for a day that I can take the time to spray the base and clear. The old one has much worse than a paint chip or two now.

Not necessarily. The car may have been driven frequently on the freeway, abrading the front clip. It may have been in extreme heat and sun, fading and oxidizing the paint. It could just have plenty of scratches. I wouldn't mind painting mine down the road to get rid of deep scratches, especially when my bumper will be a slightly different color, along with mirrors, and possibly spoiler and hood.
