I have a '93 GA with the SOHC quad and I am in the process of pulling it. The problem is that I have never pulled an engine before. Where is the "wiring harness"??? I have the Haynes manual and have looked through it, but I don't think it helps one bit. I started unplugging each little sensor all over the engine and figured there has to be something faster and easier. Sorry if this question seems a little lame. Like I said, I have never done this before and there is only one way to learn. Thanks for the help.

By the way, I'll prolly have many more questions to add to this thread.

A tip....

Grab a box of sandwich bags. When you remove something put all the nuts or bolts in the same baggy. Might even put a small note on the bag as to what the bolts went too. You will be taring a lot a part. Remebering where all those bas&^*(ters come from will be Hard tomarrow.

If you have access to a Vedio camera it might Well worth the effort to put it some place it can watch and listen to you as you pull stuff apart.

Wow that is a really good idea about the video camera. Good thinking.

Sorry I too have never done a engine pull either so can't help you.I wish I could though.

Thanks for the tips. I am doing the baggy thing. Gotta keep 'em seperated. Hmm sounds like a song. Right now I am having trouble "disconnecting the wiring harness from the bulkhead connector." The Haynes manual does not include any photos and there seem to be a lot of wires that lead to the engine. I started pulling a big white connector apart on the far passenger side. It has clear rubbery stuff holding it together and doesn't seem to disconnect. I guess I just need to know if I have to disconnect every little sensor and wire leading to the engine, or if there is a "wiring harness" that I can just unplug and lay it on the engine and move on. Thanks again for the help.

Not all the wires on the motor come off the harness, so yes you will need to do both.

I'm glad you went with the baggie Idea. You may/Will thank your self later. Also if you decide your above your head...not that you will, but if you do the mechanic will have things in one place when he goes to put it back together. Saving LOTS of labor searching for nuts and bolts.

A small note on the wires you remove as to where there from may also be helpfull.
