I got this from Dave (customgrandam) last weekend. It's a Flowmaster 80 Series muffler with Hedman tips. I had to clean up some surface rust and just polish the tips which were in great shape to start with, hopefully I'll have it on the car next week!

$100, the tips alone are worth more than that!

I had Magnaflows on my GTP, they sound nice! I'm glad mine came with tips, I probably would have a hard time picking ones out. Do you have any tips in mind?

I'm wondering if anyone has a sound clip of their aftermarket exhaust with the res left on, preferably an 80 series. I'm just planning on keeping the stock cat and res for now and drive it for a while to see if I like the sound. My last car was a gp GTP with a custom Magnaflow that had the res cut out and it was way to loud for my taste.

No tips in mind and I am having a hard time selecting them ... I think that the place I am going to get it isnatlled stock a bunch so hopefully, I will be able to pick something from them ... I do like the style of what you have though :)

pfyc.com seems to have a good variety of tips to choose from.

What I have been doing lately is keeping JPGs of the various styles that I like (including yours :D) so I can show them to my shop and see what they have :)

That's a good idea, when I had my first exhaust done on my GTP, the muffler shop had a wide range of tips to choose from. Besides the sound I think that the tips are one of the most important parts to an exhaust.

My GTP had single oval Reative tips, but I'm now favorable to dual tips.

I just got my Flowmaster 80 series muffler and Hedman tips installed this past Thursday, I wanted to wash the car before I took some pics. The car sounds great now and looks way better than the stock tips did, Hope everyone likes:D

Thanks, I'll get back to you on the hood thing if you're still looking in the fall. That's when I'll be starting me next project;)

Thanks, I've said that to myself as well lately. Usually people do an exhaust as one of their first mods, me it's just been a long time coming:)

I'm sorry about that, when I talked to Dave he said that we was having troubles trying to find something to ship it in. If it makes you feel better the 80 series is a really nice sounding muffler:D

well i think for right now im just going to stick with the stock piping and get the muffler welded on, and take out the resonator. then when i get enough money i will go with full exhaust and throw on that muffler.

I just went with the axle back set up, I didn't want a raspy sound if I had the res removed plus I'm getting older and I want to be able to talk to my wife when she's in my car:)

... I am going to try it without the resonator just because the geaders don't allow for much room for the resonator I have ... anyway, the shop that I am going to try says they will do it without the resonator but leave room for it in case I think it is too loud

I bet it's going to sound nice once it's all said and done. Can't wait to see what you're done to your car this summer!

I have a magnaflow high flow cat on my car right now and the rest is all stock. I really want a louder meaner sound out of my car. I dont really care as far as performance wise I just dont want it to HURT it... I have alot of tickets already no sence in me making my car faster. But I have been wondering should I go with the 80 series by flowmaster or magnaflow? or what? My plan is to just have the muffler replaced and nothing else. Any ideas?

I have a magnaflow high flow cat on mine already because i had to replace it. For some reason mine was plugged to the point where it would make my car die. But now I want a flowmaster 80 series with the res cut out on top of that. should be a good set up i hope.
