stock cd

how do i get my stock cd player out of the frame? it seems its almost imposible without dameging anything.

i want to instal an amp but i guess i cant put an amp onto the stock cd player in the 01 ga so i was thinking of taking it out and puting a better one in, and what do i do with the extra space since the stock one is huge

does anybody have a pic of a cd player instaled in the 99 and up GA s

Pop the key flame out, the one that saids off acc on start. Best to use a flat head. Then use the flathead to remove the black flame that is around the radio. Oh yes you will need to have the car in 1st to remove the frame. There not that much room. It was easy for me because I can pull the key out while the switch is in the on position. Be careful because the there are wires running to the ETS, Hazzard Lights, and cig. Lighter, but the plugs come out with a little work. Then 3 or 4 bolts the radio comes out.

To deal with the extra space as you put it, you will need to go to like Bestbuy and get a install kit for your car.
