thinking about purchasing

like the title says im thinking about buying a GA. most likely a GT. I've been looking around and found a 2002 GAGT 4dr with "low miles" (it back home and havent been to the dealer to look yet) for $7900. Im hoping to get them down around $5900 for it and not sure what the "low miles" means yet.
How does that price sound?

My reason for buying is that i have a 2007 ram hemi. as a college kid driving back and fourth to school/home is killing me in gas. Im also 3k over miles on my lease and want to have something to drive back and fourth as well as during the summer.

Gas milage on teh truck is 14 hwy and at $80 fill up's it's not working out too well on the credit card!

What do you guys think about higher miles on these cars? I want to spend no more than $5500-$6000 on a car so i can pay it off rather quickly and when my lease is up can trade it or sell it towards the G6 or Grand Prix GXP i plan on buying.

from what i know the resale value on ga's isn't too great. As for the price, i paid 11k for my 04 last year, so i dunno if they'll go as low as 5900.

If it was taken care of, the mileage is not a huge deal, but should always be considered and used to barter. Just beware the 3.4 has the LIM problem.

Go for an older 3 series BMW.
