With gas prices getting so high I couldn't afford to drive the GA anymore ... so I went and picked this up. :D

sarcastic? With a truck that big I would figure the GA would get better mileage than a truck? Maybe I am wrong.

The Colorado's (Canyons) get similar mileage to a GA under mixed driving, but as it gets to be more and more highway the GA blows them away.
That was most definitely sarcasm, though. That looks like either a 1500 or 2500. Even with a Diesel it wouldn't exceed the Grand Am's fuel economy (especially when true cost per mile is calculated).
Regardless, that is a nice truck! I love the new styling on them.

Yeah I was being sarcastic. The GA is still the daily driver ... this one only comes out when it's needed.
It is a diesel and even though it's $1.00 higher a gallon than gas it should still be a little cheaper then the gas motor I would have had to have. I will be dragging around a 10,000# trailer and according to all the reading I have been doing I should still be able to get about 10mpg pulling with a the diesel. Time will tell I guess.

Deisel is the way to go for towing, so good choice for that.

I wish! Supposedly this should get between 15 and 20mpg but so far it's only reading 11mpg. I will hand calculate it when I go through a full tank and see.
