New LVD schedule is out. Thankfully this year is GM Day!!! All GM models welcome. So this is much better than the year that it was FORD day. Let the trash talking begin.

Hey there Mr Tim :) ... not sure what my car is going to run this year but hopefully, with the headers, it will be a 10th or so faster :)

kelly it will be a fun year for both of us. I will be bringing the 94 which I just finished building a megasquirt computer for and big grind cams sitting in my closet ready to go in.

Kieler, he already start talking smack again this year but I put a end to it.
Lets keep it friendly, pairing up races, suggested ETs, or helpful tips for newbies, etc.
Not talking smack, but I want to go head to head with a 5th Gen V6 GA with the Altima. I feel I will get beat, but I dont think it will be by very much. :) Our GAGT ran 15.8 bone stock, and 15.65 with a CAI at LVD. I think the Altima will run a 16.0 bone stock.

well i think right now there are only 2 people I want to go against and thats Matt and Kelly. I want to see how a W41 goes up against a boosted LD2

I should be able to go sub 15, havent taken my car out to the track yet this year, but with the upgardes 14.9 should be just about right

my car properly tuned with the upgraded cams (Hot Grind 2) should be in the mid to high 14s

Ralph

nothing much but I started with W41 cams. I will have my HG2 cams in there by then and a good tune (helps a lot). Stock HO grandam runs low 15s from what I understand

it kinda depends on weight, but healthy stock HOs should run about that.

Stock 4th gen grand ams should weigh basically the same amount

why does everybody take me for a fool? a 4th gen HO would have more trouble getting into the low 15s stock than a 3rd gen HO. 4th gens are overweight, i'll be pretty much gutting mine cuz i'm trying for 13s all motor.

Yes but you were asking about your car from what I understood. The weight difference between the 2 cars is not huge either 150-200hp. This is normally fixed with a skinny driver alone

You're on ;) Better practice your launching... I found launching the HO much harder than the LD2. The HO tends to either spin too much or bog... harder to find the launch RPM sweet spot.

Depends on gen... 3rd gen low 15's to high 14's, 4th gen low 15's to mid 15's. Although it was the lower spec 94 HO and heavier (sedan) I couldn't get more than 15.6 out of it stock.

Yea the 94 spec problem won't be holding me back anymore now the problem I have is the 93 spec head that I just scored an 086 head to fix. I just couldn't see stripping down the engine to replace the cams and not do the head while I was in there . So hopefully I will get all my mods done I wanted except for my exhaust due to be outing of work for the past 2 months and just getting back on my feet that'll probably have to wait till next year.:(

My money is on him too especially since he is used to launching it and has a much better transmission setup then I do right now. When it comes to HP we will be very close so its going to depend on the shifting and im still pretty new to driving stick on the drag strip.

Yeah I know. I don't know anyone with pants my size I can borrow and I can't afford $400 pair of pants right now. Maybe I could borrow my friend Matts that had the race bike at the show last year. The waist might fit, but I think they will look like capris on me.

I think I'll take my car out on the track. I probably won't have more than just an intake and exhaust work by the time August rolls around. But I'd just be curious to see what I can do. Never actually run a drag strip before.

Guess that means I need to get off my ass and find time to "up the ante" a bit with my car. Otherwise I'd be rolling in with the exact same setup year after year.
