Looking for a pair of 144-pin PC100 256MB RAM ... or, one, if that is all you have :)

Currently, I have a pair of 128MB installed but would like a little more.

Let me have a look at work in the morning. I have a couple of older laptop carcasses that I know I never pulled the ram out of.
Maybe we can work something out....

Kelly, had a look. Only thing I have that would be compatible is 2 64 meg sticks....Sorry bud! :shrug:

I have two 256 sticks of PC2700...I doubt they are compatible with PC100 but if they are Ill sell them for $50 shipped.

One stick is Samsung and came out of my wifes laptop. The other was purchased on eBay but a warranty sticker is covering the manufacturer. She only had one memory slot so I never opened the eBay stick and ended up having to buy a 512 stick.

PM me if you can use them.

You shouldn't have to use PC100 in pairs. I have a notebook from the same era... I didn't when I upgraded.

I have two 256 sticks of PC2700...I doubt they are compatible with PC100 but if they are Ill sell them for $50 shipped.


That's DDR... too new for what he needs :lol:

Ha ha, I am so lost on computer RAM these days. :lol:

And pay 20x as much. Meh... use what you got... notebooks suck speed-wise anyway.

No, you're right but if he only had a single PC133, I don't like to run PC100 and PC133 together; although, the PC133 will just run at 100 :)

It doesn't matter if you mix. Just don't exceed the spec of the RAM. (Unless you're some l33t overc1oc|<er)

Yeah, I just prefer not to mix them ... not sure why, just like to have memory matched if possible :)
