chirping sound from front passenger tire

well the title says it all. it becomes apparent when im driving above 20 mph. it also gets quieter when i turn to the left and louder when i turn to the right. any suggestions to what might be causing this? thanks.

could possibly be a ball joint.. lift the car and take pressure off the tire.. then see if you can move it laterally from top to bottom.. any movement could indicate worn ball joints.. and i have definitely heard worn ones "chirp"

how much would this be if i were to take it to a mechanic?

i'm not sure what the going rate would be.. but either way, you need to verify what the problem is... i would take it somewhere reputable and have it checked.. the cost of doing that should go toward the repair if you elect to have that done at the same shop that checks it.

i've always done ball joints myself, so I'm sorry i don't have a good cost estimate...
