ok, I posted this issue almost 2 weeks ago http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87941

and well it from that to just dropping down to an empty tank while driving and then back up and back down etc...besides being damn ass annoying there were no other probs. She's booked into the Stealership Spa tomorrow first thing BUT today took her out on the highway and then my gas gage went from over the full line to now just used about 1/8 tank (currently at just under 200 KM since last fill)

So...is it possible that whatever was the issue has been corrected??
I'd hate to take her in and spend $$ for them NOT to find anything...but then again I don't want more problems to arise.

Your CarDomain page indicates an always-present SES light.
Is this truly the case at the moment?

You could have a poor electrical connection somewhere in the fuel level circuit, or mebbe something wrong with the sender unit itself.
Possibly the body ground wire coming out of the tank.
There is no likelihood of this fuel level sensing problem causing any other problems to arise, the circuit is completely stand-alone.

I have heard that sometimes gunk builds-up on the side of the sender, and inhibits proper sensing.
You might just try a bottle of name-brand off-the-shelf Fuel Injector cleaner thru a tankful of gas, to see if it dissolves the gunk.
Certainly won't hurt.
Much cheaper than a dealership visit, and it might even be their first step in a possible solution.

lol...thanks again Rick and no...everything else has been fixed over a year ago or so.
(the SES light was due to a vacuum hose disconnected, had the ignition cylinder and the hazard switch replaced, and the alternator too)

She's been sooooooo good to me and now this "thing" started
