My '95 is a nice car, but everything is starting to break now...power windows dont work anymore....CV joints are bad, struts are bad, windows are so etched its pitiful, rattles here and there, water leaks from the firewall, and various other small probs.

I am trying to hold out until the new '05s appear. I have heard the 2005 model year will be a 'big one' for GM.

Any specs on what the new cars will be like? I have been babying the GrandAm for about 3 months now...but I dont know if she'll last that long. Thank god i have another car or else id be screwed :)

I have searched for info on the 05's but i cannot find anything worthwhile. Was jut wondering if any of you guys know anything?

I wouldn't want to go with an all-new first-year model though. ALL manufacturers have problems with the first year of new models.

I personally don't like being the "lab rat" :D

my car was an early production. It was made in aug. of 95 but it is a 96. It doesn't have any serious problems. Alternator went out and gas gauge. Thats it.

Yeah, but the changes from '95 to '96 weren't that big. '95s already came with the 96-98 suspension...

I would almost have to disagree, because mines a 99 GT and I've not had any trouble with it nor did the people before, because I have all records and stuff.. so its not all the cars.. :) or mines just special..

Oh no, don't get me wrong, it's not all the cars that have problems. It's just that the possibility that something would go wrong is higher and I don't want to be the test case.

Just look at the number of recalls for the
99 GA: 3
00 GA: 4
01 GA: 1
02 GA: 0
03 GA: 0

And these have all been issued during the vehicle's first year on the road (99 for the 99s, 00 for the 00s, etc.)

Apparently you haven't heard of the Honda Odyssey's transmission. Or the Hyundai Tiburon's bottom end. I'm sure there's more, but that's just off the top of my head.

...or any new Toyota's problems with body cracking sounds, especially the new Camrys.
